A Visitor’s Guide to Guildford in Surrey

Painshill Park is a Georgian jewel set in the Surrey countryside, with beautiful buildings, gardens and a host of events on all year round. Clandon Park has one of Europe’s finest marble halls while Hatchlands Park offers 430 acres of parkland where you can take a woodland stroll.

If you fancy a tipple, Denbies Wine Estate is the country’s largest single estate vineyard with more than 265 acres of vines on the estate.

Shalford Mill offers guided tours of the 18th century water mill or you can see over 1,000 shrubs and trees in the multi-coloured extravaganza at the Winkworth Arboretum.

With the 2012 London Olympics on their way, Surrey is a fantastic location to stay and enjoy some relaxing views when you want a break from the bright lights of London.
